(600 hours)
Build the foundation for a professional esthetics career through skin science, facial treatments, skin analysis, exfoliation, extractions, waxing, makeup fundamentals, sanitation and supervised client services.

Master Esthetics
(600 hours)
Advance your professional skills through corrective skincare, advanced exfoliation, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, advanced modalities and other master-level training.
What you’ll learn:
Advanced facials, chemical exfoliation, advanced modalities, corrective skincare, body treatments, and supervised advanced client services.

Waxing Specialist
(115 hours)
Develop professional hair-removal skills through focused training in facial and body waxing, consultation, contraindications, sanitation and professional technique.
What you’ll learn:
Full body waxing techniques, including facial waxing, underarm, bikini, Brazilian, and leg services; client consultation and contraindications; sanitation and infection control; speed waxing methods; and professional client communication.
Professional Skincare Training
The esthetics education at Virginia Institute of Beauty & Esthetics goes beyond learning individual services. Students learn how to understand the skin, evaluate client needs, understand ingredients and select appropriate professional products and treatment protocols.
Students gain hands-on experience with professional skincare products, including Dermalogica and Skin Script, while developing skills in consultation, skin analysis, treatment planning and professional client care.
